The coach praised the bronze of the skier Terentyev at the Olympic Games with the phrase “I came, I saw and I won”

Yury Borodavko, head coach of the Russian cross-country skiing team, praised the result of Alexander Terentyev in the sprint at the Beijing Olympics. His words are quoted by Championship.com.

“Sasha is a young guy, very happy for him! I arrived a couple of days ago, saw and won, ”the coach described the results of the race with this phrase. Borodavko said that Terentiev showed an outstanding result, which was the whole season.

On February 8, Terentiev won a bronze medal in the sprint at the Olympics. The 22-year-old Russian covered the distance in 2 minutes and 59.3 seconds in the final and was 1.3 seconds behind the winner. Norwegian Johannes Klebo became the Olympic champion. Silver was won by Italian Federico Pellegrino.

Two more Russians also competed in the race. Artem Maltsev finished fifth, while Sergei Ustyugov failed to qualify for the final. Olympic champion in skiathlon Alexander Bolshunov refused to participate in the race and decided to prepare for the next starts.

The Beijing Olympics will run until February 20.
