Russian skier Terentiev won bronze in the sprint at the Beijing Olympics

Russian skier Alexander Terentyev won a bronze medal in the sprint at the Beijing Olympics. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

22-year-old Terentiev covered the distance in two minutes and 59.3 seconds. He was 1.3 seconds behind the winner.

Norwegian Johannes Klebo became the Olympic champion. Silver was won by Italian Federico Pellegrino.

Another Russian also took part in the final – Artem Maltsev finished in fifth position.

Earlier, on February 6, Russian Alexander Bolshunov won gold in the skiathlon at the Beijing Olympics – this is the first gold for a skier at the Games. In addition, for the Russian team, this gold was the first in this discipline since the Olympics in Turin, which took place in 2006.

On February 5, Natalya Nepryaeva won silver in the women’s skiathlon. This award was the first for the Russian team at the Games in Beijing.

The Beijing Olympics will run until February 20.
