280 million euro for FC Barcelona. Finalization of the contract with the giant

The authorities are trying to take measures that will allow the club to get out of the serious financial hole in which the club has been for a long time. The president is working to improve the economic condition of Barca, which has been severely damaged under the leadership of the previous management board.

Big money for Barca

One of the most important elements of getting out of the way is the sponsorship agreement with Spotify. Journalists from the Spanish RAC1 station said that if nothing unexpected happens, the Swedish streaming service offering access to music and podcasts should soon become one of the main sponsors of the “Catalan Duma”.

The first detailed information on the agreement between the two parties suggested that FC Barcelona and Spotify could establish a 5-year cooperation worth EUR 340 million. Now, however, RAC1 is saying that the deal will be concluded for a period of three years, thus earning the club EUR 280 million.

The Spotify logo will appear on the t-shirts

As a result of signing the contract, the streaming service logo will appear on the front of the men’s and women’s team t-shirts, as well as on the training jerseys. It will replace the name of the company Rakuten, whose contract is expiring this season. Additionally, it will have the right to name the stadium for a period of three years.

FC Barcelona is not the first club that has recently been mentioned in the context of establishing cooperation with Spotify. Earlier, the media claimed that there were ongoing talks about wanting to take control of. Ultimately, however, nothing came of it.
