Athletic Bilbao turns over Espanyol and stays close to La Liga’s G4

The game – In the first half, the Catalonia team took the lead after just three minutes. Tonny Vilhena received it in the area and hit it with the first shot, from the right angle, to send the ball to the net.

Bilbao, however, did not take long to react. Raul Garcia took off an assist for Oihan Sancet, who touched the left corner to beat the goalkeeper.

At 16, the turning point came. Dani Vivian crossed to the area and Inigo Martinez headed in to swing the net, with no chance for Diego Lopez.

After the three in the opening minutes, Espanyol had the chance to tie again with a point-blank header from Landry Dimata. Bilbao, at the end of the first stage, arrived in danger with Alex Berenguer. The second half was full of danger, keeping the score at 2-1.
