Tarasova criticized Trusova

Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova criticized Alexandra Trusova. The words of the specialist are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“He and the coach must understand how many quadruples they can jump on a sore leg. The main thing is that Sasha must understand this. People don’t go for a record every day. They go to the record once a year, and the rest of the time they prepare for it. Moreover, my leg hurts, ”Tarasova said.

At the same time, the coach noted that she considers Trusova an outstanding figure skater. “I think that together with the coach they will understand what to do,” added Tarasova.

At the moment, Trusova is preparing for the US Grand Prix. According to her, before the start, she received a leg injury. There are five quadruple jumps in her program, which is a record.

In September, in an arbitrary program at the test skates of the Russian national team, Trusova performed five quadruple jumps and became the first woman in the world who succeeded. At the same time, the Russian woman did not allow a single fall. Then Tarasova highly appreciated the skater’s performance.

Before the start of this season, Alexandra Trusova returned to coach Eteri Tutberidze. Prior to that, she performed under the leadership of Evgeni Plushenko, with whom she became the bronze medalist of the 2021 World Cup in Stockholm.
