Norway reacted to Bolshunov’s gold at the Olympics

Two-time Olympic champion Petter Nortug gave an expert assessment of the performance at the Olympics of the Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov, who won the gold medal in the skiathlon. The words of the Norwegian leads TV2.

Nortug noted that Bolshunov’s triumph is the result of confident performances in the past few seasons. The expert also admitted that he is skeptical about the chances of compatriots in distance races. Nortug called Bolshunov the favorite in the marathon and the 15 km race.

Earlier, on February 6, Bolshunov won gold in the skiathlon. He became the Olympic champion for the first time in his career. Norway’s Johannes Klebo finished 40th, more than nine minutes behind the winner.

For the first time since 2006, a Russian skier became the strongest at the Olympics in skiathlon. Then at the Games in Turin, Evgeny Dementiev became the best in the discipline.
