“We are looking at making a fight in the metaverse. We’ve been working on that for some time. It will be a live, real fight that will take place within the metaverse. You put on your glasses, you can get up and walk. We are still working on that and it will happen shortly. It will be a real fight, ”White explained in the talk.

Metaverse is a new phase of the technological world in 3D, which can be accessed through headsets, adapters and virtual reality glasses that create the feeling of being in a real environment. The goal will be for people to feel like they are inside an arena when the UFC events take place.

The UFC as an organization, at the moment, has not issued any statement related to potential fights on the platform. On the other hand, the interest of chito Vera met through the social network Twitter.

The Ecuadorian Bantamweight wrote: “I want to fight in the metaverse.”

Being part of a versus and fan experience would mean chito greater exposure and notoriety of its image within a niche that has an important popular pull in the United States and that currently has enough coverage in the North American media.

Vera (20-7-1 MMA, 12-6 UFC) is also awaiting an official date for her first fight of 2022 in the Octagon.
