Stupak admitted that she was unhappy with the failed performance. The Russian woman showed the 24th result in the skiathlon, her backlog from the leader was more than four minutes. Stupak congratulated the silver medalist of the race compatriot Natalya Nepryaeva. Silver Nepryaeva became the first award of the Russian team at the Games in Beijing.
