Sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev quarreled with a Ukrainian journalist in the press center of the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing. Guberniev published a video of the incident on his Telegram channel.
He said that he accidentally touched the partition next to which the Ukrainian journalist was sitting, and apologized. “But the dude began to call names !!! But whoever calls names – he himself is called so !!! ” — wrote a commentator.
On the video, you can hear that he called the Ukrainian a loser and a bastard in English.
In a conversation with Sport-Express, Guberniev said that his opponent was trying to provoke him. “I am very sorry that a man in a Ukrainian jacket allowed himself such dirt. He was clearly counting on me to push or hit him. He did everything for this, ”said the TV commentator.
Earlier, on February 4, the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games began in Beijing. Speed skater Olga Fatkulina and hockey player Vadim Shipachev have been chosen as standard bearers for the Russian Olympic Committee team.
