Bart³omiej Paw³owski explains the surprising transfer. “We’re going back to our place”

Until recently, the 29-year-old was one of the best-paid players in Silesia from Wroc³aw. Due to the failure to fulfill the hopes placed on him, the club’s authorities decided to move him to the reserve team, while hoping that the player himself would take further steps. In fact it happened.

On the last day of January, he announced that he had begun medical tests. Soon after, the official confirmation of the transfer appeared. The 29-year-old became a new runner-up player by signing a valid until the end of June 2023.

In the first interview for the official website of the new club, Pawłowski announced what his goals are now. – I come here to raise the sports level. It is not a step back for me, because I believe that playing in Widzew is a distinction. Many people live by the sentiment of “Wielki Widzew”. Currently, the club is under construction, but we all want the sports successes to come back to Łódź. As a man from the region, I also want it and I will do everything to make it happen – he said.

The player added that he believes that Widzew will “return to his seat” – Widzew is currently playing in the first league and there will be voices that I am taking a step back, but I trust the people managing this club. I believe that Widzew will return to its place, i.e. to the top league – he added in an interview with.

Pawłowski does not regret his stay in Silesia

Pawłowski also summed up his stay in. – I took part in building the team, which I was an important point and played in my position. In the meantime, things changed and as an offensive footballer, I started playing defense. I feel better up front, so our paths with Silesia slowly began to diverge. I had no regrets about it and I played in a designated position, but I would like to continue performing where I feel best – he concluded.

Bartłomiej Pawłowski has performed in Widzew Łódź in the past. He was his player first in the second half of the 2012/13 season on loan from, and then he was redeemed. A few weeks later, however, he was loaned to Spain in Malaga for the 2013/14 season. After returning to Poland, he moved to Lechia Gdańsk.
