Jonathan Burkardt scored the third in the 26th minute, with assistance from Onisiwo. Augsburg cashed in midway through the second stage, with Andi Zeqiri.
Burkadt scored again soon after and gave final numbers to the match. With this result, Mainz reached the sixth place, with 13 points, close to the G-4. Augsburg was in 16th place, with six points won.
