Ukrainian from UFC spoke about communication with fighters from Russia

Ukrainian mixed style fighter (MMA) Denis Bondar spoke about his communication with the Russians, and also appreciated the ban on Ukrainian Olympians for joint photos with rivals from Russia at the Games in Beijing. His words are quoted by Metaratings.

The Ukrainian, known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), claims that he has no problems communicating with the Russians. “There are a lot of guys from Russia and other countries here in the USA. Everyone communicates with each other and helps each other. If they hear Russian speech, they come up and help with advice there or in some other way, ”said Bondar.

He also believes that athletes cannot influence the behavior of officials. “These guys advise something there, but they don’t understand that it’s not for them to live. We compete together and respect each other – this is the main thing, ”Bondar emphasized.

On January 21, the Ministry of Sports of Ukraine advised athletes to refuse interviews in Russian. Also, athletes from Ukraine were forbidden to pose for joint photos with the Russians.

The Winter Olympic Games in Beijing will be held from February 4 to 20.
