Sometimes inhuman things happen in the stands, and on the pitch, the game is very physical. Slip-ons are at neck level – says the 36-year-old forward, who in the under-21 team twice in the attack alongside Robert Lewandowski and for a decade has been balancing between the Premier League and the Third League. He had his five minutes in the media, and he is also recognizable because he is 200 cm tall.
In 2018, he started playing in the fourth league Sportis from Łochów. Switching to a different football reality was not easy. “Pierd *** stareczka” – he often heard these words from rivals. After one of the games he finally couldn’t stand it and wrote on Facebook about the boorishness of the field. He got pissed off because the rival was throwing bunches in his direction during the whole match that his ears were swollen He has heard that he is a punk and a peasant, the rest is pointless to quote.
Now “Krzywy” says that something has changed, the rivals have forgiven him a bit. The boor has not disappeared, but it is possible to play.
In Sportis, he is not only a footballer, but also the president of the club. – I have a lot on my mind so I am not able to train four times a week. But the trainer gets it. Anyway, it’s not only about time, but also about willingness. After descending to the lower level, I became a bit lazy – admits Krzywicki. – But I realize that if I don’t train, I don’t play – he points out immediately.
He was not supposed to play in the last autumn round, but Sportis had problems with the staff and the coach convinced him to help the team even more. “Krzywy” played in all league matches, but each time he entered the field from the bench. He scored 185 minutes in total, scored three goals. – I have average statistics like – Krzywicki laughs.
Sometimes, as in the first team on a given weekend, he does not play for a long time, he also appears in the reserves. But in B Grade he only plays home matches. – I do not go to away matches, because on some fields you can break your legs. But in Łochów we have a very nice turf. I think that it is one of the best albums in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship – he adds.
No, it wasn’t a joke. Beenhakker has sent a call
Krzywicki can boast that he played in the national team under the age of 21 with the aforementioned Robert Lewandowski. They played together in two matches. – Not only did I play with him, but we also lived in the same room during the training camp – reminds “Krzywy”.
It was a crazy time in his career. In 2008, at the age of 22, he moved from Victoria Koronowo to Cracovia. There were also inquiries from Lechia Gdañsk and Legia Warszawa, but Krzywicki chose Cracovia because there he had the best chance to play. He did not have time to make his debut in the league, and he has already been called up since. – At first I thought that this calling was someone’s joke, but no, Leo wanted to check me out – says Krzywicki. However, he had an injury and did not go to the training camp. Later, no one called from the national team.
The time spent in Cracovia has great memories. He traveled for the first training half the night by train from Bydgoszcz to Krakow. He had not yet signed a contract, only during the class was he to convince the training staff. It went quickly, it was successful after the first ones.
In Cracovia, he played one match that his friends will not let him forget. He also likes to come back to him. – On Friday during training, the coach Yuri Shatalov did not know me yet. He said to Piotr Polczak, “Hide it, hide it”, because he did not know my name. 24 hours later I was already the coach’s son – laughs Krzywicki.
It was the 85th minute, Cracovia was losing 0: 2 at home to GKS Bełchatów. Some of the hosts’ fans had already left the stadium, because they could not watch the bad game of “Belts”. The team of Yuri Szatalov was at the bottom of the table and it seemed that he would lose another match .– Andraż Struna was ready for the game, but at the last moment the coach changed sentence and let me on the pitch – says Krzywicki.
A few minutes later he became the hero of the match. He assisted, scored and took part in another goal action. Cracovia won 3-2. It was a breakthrough match, because later the team from Krakow started to score points and stayed in the league.
The fans came to visit because they didn’t like the Twitter entry
The goal against Bełchatów was the first and the last one in the league for Krzywicki. The high striker did not manage to settle in it. He was on loan from Cracovia to Unia Janikowo, Zawisza Bydgoszcz and Ruch Radzionków. In 2012, he left for good to the second-tier Wisła Płock. He was promoted with her one class higher, and later played for Dolcan Ząbki, Chojniczanka Chojnice and GKS Bełchatów. He rubbed against the league, but never returned to it.
In the meantime, he has been hailed as “King of Twitter”, although he does not like the term. But he used to be him, his jocular entries reached many fans. “I am asking all fans of the Dolcan-Zagłębie game not to leave any cars near the stadium. I am designated for free kicks … “
But he had some problems with Twitter entries. One of them landed on the carpet at the chairman of Dolcan. – What did you write on Twitter? asked the president. “I guess that’s good for the club, isn’t it?” I will promote Dolcan a bit, because we do not exist in social media at all – replied the football player. – I fucking care what you write in there. You have to score goals.
He had some more problems in Płock. Fans visited him in the locker room because they didn’t like the post: “The fans support Crouch for 90 minutes and they call me fagots even though I could have their women in five minutes.”
– These words were not addressed to the fans of Wisła. I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I explained myself and it was done – says Krzywicki. And Peter Crouch, the England representative, was mentioned for a reason. Due to his height, he was often compared to him.
In Widzew, he felt like in the Champions League
Krzywicki went down to the lower level of the game a few years ago, when he signed a contract with the third division Widzew. He was supposed to make a frenzy in Łódź – not only in terms of marketing, but also on the pitch. Life wrote a different script. He only played for six months.
– When it comes to numbers, my adventure with Widzew was very unsuccessful. But my memories are great. Already during the first match in Łódź, at the new stadium, I felt like I was playing in the Champions League. I wish I had been there for such a short time. But I had to leave because I didn’t get along with the coach – says Krzywicki.
His problems started when he got injured. In the match against Huragan, Morąg entered the field in the second half and in the end he scored a goal of 2: 1. But before that, something snapped in his knee. The pain was increasing minute by minute, but “Crooked” wanted to play. After the tests it turned out that he had ruptured the posterior cruciate ligaments. Gola scored with his injured leg.
He did not want to undergo surgery, even though the doctor wanted to do it right away. He chose the RSQ1 method, i.e. a neuroelectrostimulator of the nervous system. “It’s not like this machine is going to rebuild or sew a ligament. But thanks to it, you can function without a ligament – explains “Krzywy”. 14 days later, after painful procedures, he played in the derby of Łódź.
– My injury caused a number of misunderstandings. There were rumors from the club’s corners that I was undergoing medical treatment because I wanted to extend my contract with Widzew. It was bullshit. It is a pity that coach Przemysław Cecherz did not say it to my face. He behaved unfair and for that I have a great grudge against him. I could extend the contract because I had a full number of matches. But I didn’t want to deal with the coach and that’s why I quit – says Krzywicki.
They have big plans in Łochów
He left Widzew in 2017 and wanted to take a break from football. He even wrote on Twitter that he was ending his career. He had various offers, but he was also fed up with wandering around the country. He wanted to return to his native Bydgoszcz. He did not play football for six months, but his friends persuaded him to play for Sportis. More precisely – Sportisie Social Football Club. He often commutes to trainings in Łochów by bicycle. It is not far from Bydgoszcz, only a dozen or so kilometers.
– Sportis is a great project. I have been involved in it since 2018 – says Krzywicki. And he says that an important part of the club is the women’s team – Sportis KKP Bydgoszcz and the academy. Anyway, they have ambitious plans in Łochów. They want to build a sports center with open and covered pitches, a dormitory, hotel, restaurants and tennis courts.
– This is a huge investment. The plan is already in place, so is the ground, money still needs to be raised. We are waiting for the ministry’s decision on the subsidy – says Krzywicki. So far, they have received a subsidy from the innovation program for a multimedia cage. It will be a prototype of the cage used in Borussia Dortmund and Benfica Lisbon.
Peszko came to Krzywe for treatments
Krzywicki was already preparing himself for life after life during his career. He founded the Krzywy Nadruk company, which offers a wide range of services in the advertising industry. He also invested in the RSQ1 machine and opened a physiotherapy clinic for Krzywy Must. There were many footballers at his treatment, including Sławomir Peszko.
– I also rent this machine to the Polish Football Association. Łukasz Skorupski, when he comes to the training camp, asks for it immediately. In Italy, he works there regularly – says Krzywicki.
When asked how much more he will play football, he cannot answer, or maybe he does not want to answer it. He still enjoys sports and no one at the club puts pressure on him to train and play regularly. But the mockery was already there. – When I was absent from a few training sessions recently, they were joking in the dressing room that I would come a week before the league, and I would still play ten minutes in the first round – Krzywicki laughs.
