So far, she has said goodbye to a few players who were not the strength of the team in the fall round of this season. It is possible, however, that the club from Pomerania will lose one of its greatest talents before the end of January.
Mateusz Żukowski one step away from Rangers FC
Mateusz Żukowski will expire at the end of June this year. So far, both sides have not been able to reach an agreement on its extension, which other clubs have tried to take advantage of. The interest in the 20-year-old was expressed, among others, by Legia Warszawa, but also by foreign teams.
Tomasz Włodarczyk from the Meczyki.pl portal said that Żukowski is getting closer to moving to, and only the details remain until the transfer is finalized. The 20-year-old will eventually replace Nathan Patterson in the Scottish club, who was sold for 14 million euros.
Żukowski is to be gradually introduced to the team
If it does happen, Żukowski will not be able to be sure of his place in the starting line-up at all. Patterson has been only a substitute so far, while the full-time right-back of the team is team captain James Tavernier. The plan towards Żukowski assumes that he will be gradually introduced to the composition.
Rangers is the most successful Scottish club. He reached the national championship 55 times, four more than Celtic Glasgow. After 23 rounds of the Scottish league, the team led by Giovani van Bronckhorst is in the first place in the table with a two-point advantage over its eternal rival.
Mateusz Żukowski is a pupil of Lechia Gdańsk. He made his debut in the first team in mid-December 2017, entering the pitch at the end of the match with Sandecja Nowy Sącz. In the current season, the 20-year-old has played 20 matches in which he scored two goals and recorded one assist.
