Will the efforts of Polish jumpers be wasted? Bad news from Willingen

There has not been such a day this season yet. Four Poles in the top ten of the prologue, excellent jumps and finally the hope that the bad streak will turn around and the season of Polish jumpers is not yet lost. The prologue was the best, Piotr Żyła third, Dawid Kubacki seventh and Paweł Wąsek ninth. Stefan Hula took 28th place.

Will the improvement in jumping be wasted? Fatal predictions

Polish jumpers had to forget about what happened in November, December and mid-January. They had to forget, but the subsequent fatal jumps only spun errors. The jumpers were losing their self-confidence, so there were even more problems. It was hard to control, but maybe coincidence helped. Kamil Stoch excluded the injury for three weeks, and the coronavirus of Dawid and Piotr. All three have returned to Willingen and are doing much better than before in the season.

Such excellent jumps put the fans in a positive mood before Saturday’s individual competition. There are many indications that the white and reds can play a leading role in this competition. Unfortunately, the weathermen have bad news for them. During the competition, the wind is expected to reach speeds of up to 9 m / s. If this is true, it will be very difficult to run the competition.

Even if the competition does take place, it promises to be a lottery. In addition, rain may appear during the competition. Sunday is to be a bit better. Weather forecasters say that during this day the wind speed is expected to decrease by the hour. At the beginning of the competition, the wind indicators are to show 6 m / s, but in the middle of the competition – 4 m / s. The aura should be rainless.

Saturday’s competition will start at 4:00 p.m. (3:00 p.m. trial series), and Sunday’s 3:15 p.m. (prologue at 1:30 p.m.). Live coverage on Sport.pl.
