Moscow “Spartak” played a draw with the Slovak “Slovan” in a friendly match. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The meeting was held on Friday, January 28, in Dubai and ended with a score of 2:2. Zelimkhan Bakaev and Daniil Denisov excelled in the red-and-white teams. The Slovaks scored goals on the account of Vladimir Weiss and Alexander Cavric. After the first half, the Russian club led with a two-goal lead, but missed it.
The match was the first for the new Spartak head coach Paolo Vanoli. The appointment of the Italian was announced on 17 December. The agreement with the 49-year-old specialist is valid until the end of the 2022/2023 season with the option to extend for a year.
Spartak will be at the training camp in the UAE until February 12. There, the red-whites have to hold three more friendly matches. On February 2, the Muscovites will play with the Latvian “Riga”, in three days they will meet with the Malaysian “Johor”, and on February 8 they will play with the “Ural”.
