“It is fantastic for me, at this stage of my career, to have the opportunity to come to such a big club, which is competing in different championships and which will give me excellent opportunities to test myself in different contexts. I’m excited to train with my teammates for the first time and meet the fans,” said the young Ivorian.
Former Dutch player Giovanni van Bronckhorst, current Rangers coach, celebrated the winger’s arrival: “I am delighted to add Amad to our squad for the rest of the season. He’s a player I’ve known for a while and when the opportunity came up to sign him, we were very excited for it to happen. He will add a lot to our group and provide even more competition for forwards.”
Revealed by Atalanta, Diallo was sold to United in early 2021, aged 18, for 21.3 million euros (R$128.8 million currently). However, despite the high value, he was little used in the professional team: in total, he played only nine matches, scoring one goal and one assist.
fourth placed from Premier League, Manchester United returns to the field on February 4, when they receive Middlesbrough, for the round of 16 of the FA Cup.
