This Tuesday marks the 92nd anniversary of São Paulo. Congratulating the date, Daniel Alves posted on his social networks a photo with the team’s uniform. The player had a turbulent departure from the club and currently defends the colors of Barcelona.
“Congratulations to São Paulo. Always in my heart,” he wrote.
In September 2021, Tricolor terminated with Daniel Alves. He arrived at the club in August 2019 with great expectations from the crowd. Over the course of 95 games for the club, the defender has never been able to match the height. He ended his spell with ten goals scored and a Campeonato Paulista title.
Even though he is no longer defending the São Paulo shirt, the side has a huge amount to receive. The club will pay around R$ 400 thousand monthly to pay Daniel. In all, R$ 24 million will be allocated to the player.
Tricolor agreed to pay what it owes for the next five years, in equal installments. The installments start from this month.
