Timanovskaya remembered Lukashenka’s supporters who threatened to break her arms

Runner Kristina Timanovskaya on her Instagram spoke out to the supporters of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

“They wished me sickness and death, they threatened to break my arms. In their opinion, I am a litter, a Judas … I have never received such a hate before, ”the athlete recalled. Timanovskaya added that it was not she who betrayed the country, but the country’s leadership betrayed the people.

On October 10, Timanovskaya criticized the Belarusian Athletics Federation (BFLA) on Instagram. “If you only knew how many athletes they killed. Even I watched people being pushed into national teams through connections, and promising ones should leave, ”she said then.

On August 1, the National Olympic Committee of Belarus expelled Timanovskaya from the national team and tried to forcibly deport her to Minsk after she criticized the sports leadership of her native country. Thanks to the intervention of the International Olympic Committee, the athlete went to Poland instead of Belarus.
