The president of the LigaPro, Miguel Angel Loor, about the management it carries out, states: “I don’t like to talk about others, worse suggest how to manage or manage an entity like the FEF. If one day I have the honor of being there, I could give my opinion. LigaPro has an executive model that has been improving over the years and generating a line of work that must be replicated and improved by everyone in football. Having a good image attracts income. Have good offices, too.”

Asked about what the economic success of his management is based on, Loor indicated: “At work, ingenuity and transparency. Since we arrived, we have set ourselves the goal of publishing absolutely everything, with maximum transparency. And that we always be audited by one of the big four (big four). That really generated a change in perception and image. Our work has made the tournament attractive and that has helped us generate income. I think that our success has generated a lot of confrontation and even problems with some, who do not like to see others grow; capable that I am paying now with so much attack. But That is why we are here, to fight and change something that was wrong, not to scare us and let them continue doing the same thing as before”.

EL UNIVERSO newspaper consulted the president of the FEF, Francisco Egas, by means of a message about the reasons for the deficit in the last year, but he did not respond.

What does appear in the economic report that will be presented this Tuesday at the Ordinary Football Congress, on page 11, is as follows: “The income obtained by the FEF during the year 2021 was affected by the global emergency of the COVID-19 pandemic, causing it not to be able to count on the total box office income for qualifying matches, the reduction of the value for participation in America Cup and the non-payment of sponsor”.

Also, on page 15 he outlines why his cash funds went down: “Judgment was recorded in favor of the SRI for a value of 2,947,194.00 dollars due to the glossed by income tax for the years 2013 and 2014. This value corresponds to an audit that was carried out in 2015, by the SRI, in which several accounting inconsistencies were determined, lack of supports, concepts and withholdings not accepted by the SRI”.

Omar Estupinan, president of the Esmeraldas Soccer Association and that he will participate in the Football Congress, he anticipated that he will request information on the deficit of the FEF”. (D)
