The leadership of Zenit is considering the possibility of punishing Iranian striker Serdar Azmoun for violating medical regulations. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The Iranian striker left the club’s hotel to meet with representatives of the German Bayer. He reached an agreement to continue his career in Germany and traveled to sign the contract.
Azmoun faces a fine of up to 50,000 euros. He can also be sent to the second team.
Azmun’s impending move to the German club became known on January 22. The 27-year-old striker will join the club in the summer of 2022.
Azmoun moved to Zenit in February 2019. This season, he has played in 15 matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL), in which he scored seven goals and gave one assist. In total, as part of the blue-white-blue Iranian took part in 79 matches and scored 52 goals. The striker spent his entire professional career in Russia, also playing for Rubin and Rostov.
