Palmeiras target, Lucas Alario scores a goal for Bayer Leverkusen

Target of Palmeiras, Argentine Lucas Alario was one of the highlights of Bayer Leverkusen’s rout over Augsburg this Saturday, 5-1, scoring a great goal.

The attacker came in in the final minutes, when the game was already 4-1, and took advantage of the space given by the marking to dominate near the small area, tapping with his heel on the goalkeeper’s exit and decreeing the victory of the home team.

With the result, Leverkusen reaches third place in the German Championship standings, with 35 points, while Augsburg is in 16th position.

In an attempt to reinforce the attack with a strong striker, Verdão welcomed the signing of the player. After having the first offer turned down, the club alviverde had agreed to improve the proposal, but the negotiation slowed down after a withdrawal from the Germans, who do not intend to negotiate the athlete until they bring a new striker to the squad.

Palmeiras continues in search of a “9 shirt” in the market, which arrives with absolute titleholder status. It is worth remembering that the Palestinian club only has until January 24 to send the list of candidates for the Club World Cup, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

So far, the only reinforcement of Abel Ferreira’s team for the offensive system was Rafael Navarro. Verdão sees the striker as an asset with a lot of potential, but does not believe that the 21-year-old can immediately win a spot on the team.
