Russian biathlete Anton Babikov took tenth place in the mass start at the World Cup stage in Antholz, Italy. The results are available on the website of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
The winner of the race was the German Benedikt Doll, who covered the distance in 37 minutes and 14.9 seconds and made one miss. Norway’s Johannes Beh is in second place, 31.3 seconds behind the leader and missing three times. Third was another Norwegian Sturla Lagrede, one minute and 28.8 seconds back and three penalties. Another Russian Eduard Latypov took 25th place. Thus, domestic athletes were left without medals.
January 16, Alexander Loginov won a silver medal in the pursuit race at the sixth stage of the World Cup in Ruhpolding, Germany. The winner was the Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet.
Later on January 22, a women’s relay race will be held as part of the World Cup stage. Competitions in Antholz, Italy will end on January 23rd.
