The son of two-time Olympic figure skating champion Evgeny Plushenko, Alexander, complained of a knee injury. In a post on his Instagram, Plushenko Jr., known as Gnome Gnomych, said that, on the recommendation of doctors, he was forced to reduce physical activity.
The nine-year-old figure skater wrote that this season was difficult for him. “I broke my arm, then I got the flu. Now he injured his knee, went for an MRI, ”complained Plushenko Jr.
According to the son of the famous athlete, doctors recommended that he reduce physical activity for a week. Because of this, the training of the young skater has changed. “I just go sliding, jumping and spinning for the time being,” he added.
Earlier it was reported that the police opened a libel case against Gnome Gnomych, who told about the alleged mental disorder. The culprit can face up to two million rubles in fines or up to two years in prison.
The publication that Alexander Plushenko allegedly suffers from Asperger’s syndrome appeared in StarHit in May 2020. The skater’s parents denied this information and criticized the journalists. Later, the former editor-in-chief of the printed version of StarHit, Andrey Malakhov, apologized to the Plushenko family. Nevertheless, the mother of Gnom Gnomych, producer Yana Rudkovskaya, filed a lawsuit against the publication.
