Ecuadorian weightlifters, with an outstanding performance in Tokyo 2020, are preparing for a new cycle of the Olympics.

The tricolor weightlifters Neisi Dajomes, Tamara Salazar and Angie Palacios, with an outstanding performance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, are starting this month in an alliance with Claro, a telecommunications services conglomerate with a presence in Ecuador, which will accompany the athletes on their way to Paris 2024.

In the last JJ. OO., last year, Ecuador stood out in weightlifting also thanks to Dajomes, winner of the gold medal in the 76 kg (August 1); and Salazar, who took silver in the 87 kg (August 2).

The link with the private company is called “Connected we can do more”.

“Neisi, Tamara and Angie are an example of what Claro believes and wants to convey with its new campaign. When we say ‘Connected we can do more’, we say that Ecuadorians strive to exceed goals, and these athletes represent that daily effort to achieve their dreams”, said Xavier Reyes, representative of the firm.

The next participation of the Ecuadorians in the Olympics will be in the Bolivarian Games of Valledupar (Colombia), which will take place in June and July of this year. (D)
