Vyalbe explained the cries of a Russian skier against a Norwegian on the Tour de Ski

The head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), Elena Vyalbe, on the air of First Sports Radio, commented on the conflict between Russian woman Natalia Nepryaeva and Norwegian Tiril Weng in the quarterfinals of the sprint at the first stage of the Tour de Ski.

“You can’t be silent all the time. She did not come to kill her, but came to talk. That is, when the Swedes and Norwegians gored a little, no one sees it. But when the Russians are with someone, everyone will definitely see it, ”explained Vyalbe. She stressed that the Russian team has no problems with foreign rivals.

The conflict between the athletes occurred on December 28. Weng ran into a Russian woman on skis, after which Nepryaeva fell sharply behind. As a result, the Russian skier finished second behind the Norwegian. After the finish, the Russian woman yelled at her opponent, who smiled in response.

Nepryaeva won the Tour de Ski this season. She became the first Russian skier to achieve such a result. Before that, the athlete twice became the second.
