Azmun’s future at Zenit cleared up

Forward of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Serdar Azmun will remain in the team until the end of the 2021/2022 season. The player’s future is reported by RMC Sport.

According to the source, the 27-year-old footballer intends to leave Zenit as a free agent. It is noted that several clubs from the top European championships claim it. One of them is the French Lyon, for which the Iranian has become a priority target.

Azmoun’s contract with Zenit expires on June 30, 2022. The transfer value of the striker, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at 25 million euros.

Azmoun moved to Zenit in February 2019. This season he has played in 15 matches of the Russian Premier League, in which he scored seven goals and gave one assist. In total, as part of the blue-white-blue Iranian took part in 79 matches and scored 52 goals.

Azmun spent his entire professional career in Russia. In addition to Zenit, he played for Rubin and Rostov.
