FIFA 22 Team of the Year was chosen by EA Sports and players as the most popular soccer game in the world. The eleven players who distinguished themselves the most in 2021 were selected in the plebiscite. The players are rewarded with a special card in FIFA Ultimate Team.
Time to reveal the cards
The voting for the footballers of the year ended on January 17, but EA Sports published the results only today. Thus, we met the FIFA 22 Team of the Year, which will receive special cards in the Ultimate Team mode.
It happened without any major surprises. The most important piece of information is the presence of Robert Lewandowski. The Pole was selected for the Team of the Year for the third time in a row. As a reward, he will receive a card rated as high as 98. Only Leo Messi received such a high rating.
The unexpected win of the year is PSG, which has as many as five representatives. With so many players in the eleven, Ligue 1 is on par with the Premier League. The Bundesliga can boast only one representative.

One name was missing from the list – Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese did not qualify for the FIFA Team of the Year for the first time in the history of this poll. EA Sports has been organizing this game since FIFA 12. So far Ronaldo was in the top eleven every year, but now he had to recognize the superiority of other players.
The Team of the Year will now receive special cards in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. Players can expect a series of events for this occasion that will be appearing in the game over the next few days.
