With seven matches played in Saudi Arabia’s second division, Brazilian Taylon is the second top scorer in the competition with four goals, one less than the leader in the category. In pre-season, the striker scored 11 goals in six matches.
“We had a great pre-season in Egypt, where we played several friendlies and had great results. That’s why I’m very confident this season, for me personally, it’s been a good start, because despite the defeats, I’ve already been able to score in most games and I want to continue scoring as many goals as possible to help my club and also seek the artillery of the league”, said the player.
Despite having beaten Al Jabalin 3-1 in the last round, Al Akhdoud is in the penultimate position with seven points, but the difference between 19th and seventh is just two points, showing that the competition is balanced and just one win to take a leap on the table.
“Unfortunately our team didn’t start very well, we suffered at the beginning, as it was the first time for the club and for many of our team’s players in Division 1. Today we are at the bottom of the table and I can’t wait to change that. Now we have a new coach and that gave our team a boost”, he pointed out.
Taylon is in his second season at Al Akhdoud, in the first he was champion of Division 2, even scoring three goals in the final. Before arriving in the country, he passed through Bahrain, Malta, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria and in Brazil he passed through Criciúma.
