The Russian Ministry of Sports has approved a training program for cybersportsmen. This was reported on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The document clarifies that 25 to 40 percent of training time should be devoted to physical training. To get into the group of the highest skill, cybersportsmen need to pass the standards. Among them are running and squats.
A man needs to run three kilometers in 15 minutes and sit down 25 times without stopping. Women must overcome two kilometers in 12 minutes, and also do 23 squats in a row. In addition, men are required to run 100 meters in 14.4 seconds. For women, the standard at this distance is 17.6 seconds.
In addition to physical exercises, the document enshrines the need for tactical, theoretical and psychological training. The details of these parts of the training process are not disclosed.
In June 2016, esports was officially recognized as a sport in Russia. He returned to the All-Russian register of sports after being excluded in July 2006 by the then head of the Ministry of Sports Vyacheslav Fetisov.
