During the Wednesday’s board meeting, the final decision was to be made on the new coach of the Polish national football team. However, this did not happen. The media even reported that this topic did not even appear among those discussed. However, the union statement shows that it was a bit different.
The Polish Football Association is taking water in its mouth regarding the new selector
“The Polish Football Association informs that during the Management Board meeting on January 19, 2022, President Cezary Kulesza presented the current situation related to the selection of the Polish national team coach. The President informed the Management Board members that negotiations with the candidates for the coach are underway,” we read in the PZPN communiqué.
However, we will not hear more about it yet. “For the sake of their successful course and the peace necessary for the best decision, PZPN will not provide more information on this topic until it is taken” – added the activists in the statement.
The newly announced manager was to be. However, this did not happen. On the contrary – there were voices that he was not the only one remaining in the game for the position. It is – apart from the above-mentioned – also Michał Prukaj and Andrij. The most surprising name is the name, whose presence in the final three is simply sensational. Even though his name had already been mentioned in the context of the frame.
Antoni Bugajski from “PS” informs that Nawałka was put on the bench, and Cezary Kulesza, after talks with Nawałka, is still waiting for the possible confirmation of a better candidate.
Other important decisions were also made during the management board. It is already known that Marcin Brosz will be the coach of the national team under 19, who will also stay in Górnik Zabrze by June. Marcin Włodarski, in turn, will take over the team under the age of 16. The activists also decided that the June matches will be held in Wrocław (against Wales) and Warsaw (against Belgium).
PZPN issued a statement regarding the coach:
