American mixed martial artist (MMA) Impa Kasanganay has joined the Eagle FC promotion, owned by Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is reported by MMA Junkie.
The 28-year-old American is known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Kasanganay may make his debut on March 11 at Eagle FC 46. The organization has previously brought in other former UFC participants such as Kevin Lee and Diego Sanchez.
Kasanganay has fought four fights in the UFC. He left the organization three months after losing to Carlston Harris. In total, Kasanganay has nine victories and two defeats.
Eagle FC will hold its first tournament in the US on January 28th. The event will be held in Miami and will be headlined by a bout between Sergei Kharitonov and Tyrone Spong.
Nurmagomedov is a former UFC lightweight champion. After completing his career as a fighter, he bought the rights to Gorilla FC and rebranded the organization. The promotion now exists under the name Eagle FC.
