Spartak lost the two-goal advantage and lost to Leicester in the LE

Moscow “Spartak” lost to English “Leicester City” with a score of 3: 4 in the group stage match of the Europa League. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.

The meeting took place in Moscow at the Otkrytie Arena stadium. The score was opened by the hosts: the goal was scored by the striker of the red-and-white Alexander Sobolev. Jordan Larsson scored in the 44th minute. At the end of the half, Leicester forward Patson Duck closed the gap.

In the second half, the red and white lost their advantage. Daka first leveled the score and then took his team forward with a hat-trick. In the 78th minute, the African scored again, making the score 4: 2 in favor of the British. At the end of regulation time, the red-whites closed the gap, but failed to level the score. Spartak suffered their second defeat in the UEL group stage. The final score is 4: 3 in favor of Leicester.

The teams will meet again in the fourth round of the group stage. The return leg will take place on 4 November in Leicester.

Spartak plays in Group C. In the quartet, apart from Leicester, the Muscovites are opposed by the Polish Legia and the Italian Napoli.
