This Tuesday, Lionel Messi returned to training at Paris Saint-Germain. The ace had not yet participated in activities at the French club in 2022, as he was with covid.
The last time Messi played for Maurício Pochettino’s team was on December 22, in a match against Lorient. The Argentinian has yet to play in 2022, being absent in games against Vannes Olympique, for the Coupe de France, in addition to Lyon and Brest, for the French Championship.
Five days ago, Messi made a post on social media stating that “it took longer than I thought to be well” and that he was working to be “100%”.
“As you know, I had covid. I wanted to thank you for all the messages I received and say that it took me longer than I expected to be well, but I’m almost recovered and I really want to get back on the field. I’ve been training every day to be 100 %”, wrote the Argentine.
PSG return to the field next Sunday. The team duels with Reims, in the Parc des Princes, at 16:45 (Brasília time), for the French Championship. It could be Messi’s first match in 2022.
