Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the London club was interested in signing Erling Haaland in the final transfer window. The German commander even stated that Norwegian is a subject “regularly” in the Blues.
“We talked about Erling Haaland a few times, including in the transfer window. But it seemed unrealistic and impossible to follow,” the coach told the newspaper. SportBild.
“We talk about him regularly, of course, because he is a fantastic player and clearly the main figure for Borussia Dortmund, who is a great rival in the Champions League,” he added.
Thomas Tuchel has yet to rule out a deal in the future: “I don’t think we’re really serious about it right now, but we’ll see what happens next week.”
Remember that Chelsea signed a center forward in the last transfer window. Romelu Lukaku left Inter Milan for London for €115 million (£736 million).
For Borussia Dortmund, Haaland played 69 games and scored an incredible 70 goals, in addition to 19 assists.
