Shubenkov explained the dissatisfaction of Russian athletes with the salaries of football players

The dissatisfaction of Russian athletes with the salaries of football players is due to envy. Athlete Sergei Shubenkov spoke about this in an interview with the Premier platform.

“We also want to receive so much money. Why not?” – explained the runner. He added that at the moment this is not possible. At the same time, Shubenkov noted that the income level of the players playing in the second most important division of Russia – the Football National League (FNL), is comparable to the earnings of the best domestic athletes and amounts to 300-400 thousand rubles a month.

On August 20, two-time Olympic swimming champion Evgeny Rylov spoke about the salaries of football players. He said that he considers it unfair to have some athletes do nothing and get more.

In June, Olympic handball champion Vladlena Bobrovnikova calculated that Spartak midfielder Roman Zobnin receives 26 million rubles a month. According to the athlete, she will not earn this amount in her entire life.

Shubenkov is the world champion in hurdling. He also won two silver medals and one bronze medal at the world championships.
