The plane carrying the Amur team of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) made an emergency landing at the Begishevo airport. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash Iptash.
The Boeing 737-8 with the players, coaches and staff of the club flew to Khabarovsk after the game with Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik”, but 20 minutes after takeoff, information appeared about the depressurization of the front door. The pilots decided to return to Begishevo and make an emergency landing. It was successful, no one was hurt.
The athletes had to wait for the replacement of the aircraft. The Amur representatives flew to Khabarovsk a few hours later. An off-site meeting of Khabarovsk residents with Neftekhimik took place on Tuesday, October 19. The game ended with the score 3: 2 in favor of the hosts.
In September 2011, there was a plane crash involving Yaroslavl Lokomotiv. All members of the hockey team on board were killed.
