KHL reacted to the admission of a hockey player in the rape of a minor

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) reacted to the scandalous confession of the attacker of the Yaroslavl club “Locomotive” Reid Boucher in the rape of a minor. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

A league spokesman indicated that the KHL would not comment on the topic until the court’s decision. At the same time, the KHL noted that they condemn all forms of violence or abuse.

Earlier, Lokomotiv announced that the player continues to train in the main team.

The hockey player confessed to the deed on December 13, 2021. The crime happened in 2011, but it became known only now. At that time, Bush was 17 years old, and the girl was 12. Initially, he was charged with a first-degree sexual offense, for which he could receive from 25 years to life in prison. However, during the hearing, the district judge allowed Bush to file for a lesser charge. Also, the hockey player will avoid preliminary imprisonment.
