Dissatisfied, Van de Beek may be leaving Manchester United

Dutch player Donny van de Beek could be leaving Manchester United. According to information from the English newspaper Daily Telegraph, van de Beek is dissatisfied with his situation at the English club and has two likely destinations.

The 24-year-old midfielder stood out with the Ajax shirt, where he was revealed, until he was bought by Manchester United in September 2020, for the sum of 39 million euros (R$ 246.5 million).

Currently in his second season at Old Trafford, the athlete didn’t have much space with former manager Ole Gunnars Solskjaer and hoped to gain more chances with his departure. However, information indicates that he remains dissatisfied under the command of the team’s current coach, Ralf Rangnick.

Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are the clubs that are closest to a deal with the player, according to information from the English newspaper.

With the sale of Newcastle to a Saudi Arabian investment group, the English club seeks to strengthen its squad. Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood have already been signed, but van de Beek could arrive as well.

Borussia Dortmund, a German club that would also be interested in the United player, wants the Dutchman to play in the Europa League for the club this season. The interest of the Germans was confirmed by the Daily Mail, a British newspaper.

This season, van de Beek has played 13 games for Manchester United, having started just four times. With the Qatar World Cup approaching, the athlete wants to show service to be in the final call-up of the Netherlands team for the World Cup.
