Moisés Caicedo would enter Brighton’s squad for the match against Crystal Palace this Friday

The Premier League club once again welcomed the Ecuadorian national team player.

After putting himself under the orders of manager Graham Potter on Thursday, Brighton & Hove Albion welcomed Ecuadorian international Moises Caicedo who was urgently recalled from his loan at Belgian club Beerschot VA to face the second half of the Premier League season .

“Welcome back, Moses! (Welcome back, Moises),” the club posted on its Twitter account.

The 20-year-old Tricolor midfielder completed his first work session with Brighton on Thursday, a day after that entity announced his return, after playing since August 2021 in the Belgian First Division.

“Good to see you (how good to see you),” says Brighton in another message posted on Instagram.

The Seagulls said Wednesday on their official website that they recalled Caicedo from his loan spell with Beerschot under international clearance. This is because the former Independiente del Valle player was loaned to the Belgian team until the end of the current season, that is, until approximately June 2022.

The call is due to the casualties caused by the Zambian Enock Mwepu and the Ivorian-Malian Yves Bissouma, both midfield players.

Mwepu was injured last Saturday against West Bromwich in the FA Cup tie, while Bissouma is playing for Mali in the African Cup of Nations.

According to the British media Sussex Live, quoting coach Graham Potter, may be called up for the match against Crystal Palace this Friday (3:00 p.m., Ecuadorian time), in matchday 22 of the Premier.

Much of the interest of the date will be concentrated on Saturday afternoon when Manchester City, leader of the championship, and Chelsea, second, face each other.

The Seagulls sit ninth in the standings with 27 points, two steps below Manchester United who have 31. (D)
