Figure skater Valieva won the short program at the European Championship with a world record

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva was the leader after the short program at the European Championships in Tallinn. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

For pure hire, the 15-year-old athlete received 90.45 points. This is a new world record. The previous achievement in the short program also belonged to Valieva and was 87.42 points.

The second place is taken by the Belgian Luna Hendrix (76.25), the third is the Russian Alexandra Trusova (75.13). The fourth place is taken by her compatriot Anna Shcherbakova (69.05).

The athletes will present their free program on January 15. The European Championship will end a day later. According to the results of the tournament, the national teams will be formed to participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Valieva on December 25 won the Russian championship, which was held in St. Petersburg. Trusova and Shcherbakova took second and third places, respectively.
