Barcelona tries to fight back in Champions League against Dynamo Kiev

In the lantern of the Champions League Group E, Barcelona need to react. And the opportunity is this Wednesday, when they host Ukraine’s Kiev Dynamo at Camp Nou. The clash is valid for the third round of the group stage.

Barça has the worst campaign in their history, as they didn’t even manage to score and lost the opening two games 3-0 to Bayern Munich and Benfica. As Dynamo have a point, the Spanish team is the lantern.

The situation is aggravated because there is a direct confrontation between Benfica and Bayern Munich, who play at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon. The Germans lead with six points and one hundred percent success. The Portuguese have four points.

“It’s a strong group and because we lost two games we need to lift our heads and react quickly. It’s a home game and the team is progressing. We’ll try to impose ourselves against Dynamo,” said Barcelona defender Piqué.

Another Spaniard to enter the field is Sevilla, who visit Lille in France in Group G. The bracket is the most balanced in the tournament so far. The leader with four points is Austria’s Salzburg, from Red Bull, who will try to impose themselves at home against Wolfsburg of Germany. The Germans have two points alongside Sevilla. The French hold the lantern with only one point gained.

According to the Champions League regulations, teams face each other within their respective groups in turn and return. At the end, the first two placed advance to the round of 16 in the final.
