Chimaev asked the head of the UFC to give him two fights for the tournament

Swedish mixed style fighter (MMA) Khamzat Chimaev has addressed the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White. The post is available on the athlete’s Instagram.

The 27-year-old Swede of Chechen origin asked the promoter to arrange two fights for him in one evening. Chimaev stressed that he was not joking.

Chimaev has repeatedly expressed the opinion that he is ready to hold several fights in a row. The last opponent of the Chechen in the UFC was the Chinese athlete Li Jingliang. The fight ended with Chimaev’s early victory in the first round.

Chimaev has four victories in the UFC. The first three were won by a Chechen in 66 days – an organization record. The break in the speeches was due to the fact that Chimaev had had a coronavirus. Due to complications during his recovery, he was ready to retire. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, intervened in the situation and convinced Chimaev not to leave the sport.

In total, the native of Chechnya won ten victories in ten fights according to the rules of MMA. He also won the Swedish Freestyle Wrestling Championship.
