Golovkin spoke about the events in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstani boxer Gennady Golovkin in Twitter expressed his opinion about the protests in Kazakhstan.

The athlete expressed his condolences to those whose loved ones died these days. “Day of mourning in Kazakhstan. There are no words to describe the bitterness of what is happening in our country. Let the world return to our Kazakhstan again, ”Golovkin wrote.

On January 8, Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov admitted that he was worried about the events in Kazakhstan. He expressed hope that peace and tranquility will be restored in the country in the near future.

On January 2, protests began in Kazakhstan over a sharp rise in prices for liquefied gas. Later, political demands were added to the economic demands. The protesters called for the resignation of the government, the holding of new elections and the final departure from power of the ex-president of the republic, Nursultan Nazarbayev. By January 5, the protests turned into riots.
