Lyon takes the lead with Lucas Paquetá, but PSG seeks a draw in the end for the French Championship

This Sunday, Lyon hosted PSG at Parc Olympique Lyonnais, in a game for the 20th round of the French Championship. With many embezzlement for both sides, due to the cases of covid, the home team started better, opened the score, but dropped in performance and gave the Paris team the tie.

In an intense start, it took just seven minutes for the nets to be swung. In a Brazilian goal, Bruno Guimarães crossed in measure to Lucas Paquetá, from the right, the midfielder received the back of the defense and hit crossed to put Lyon in advantage.

Behind on the scoreboard, Paris Saint-Germain managed to create good chances, but struggled to score. In his best opportunities, he stopped at goalkeeper Anthony Lopes or at opposing defenders.

In another moment, Mbappé hit the post and the teams went to the locker rooms with the score 1 to 0 for the home team.

At the beginning of the second half, Lyon balanced the match and started to occupy more of the attacking field, changing the scenario of the final minutes of the first half.

The hosts had chances to increase the advantage, but they missed great opportunities with Dembele, Aouar and Bruno Guimarães.

Lyon adopted a more defensive posture as PSG went on the attack. In the 30th minute of the second half, Michut received from the left wing and crossed low to find Thilo Kehrer. The German hit the goal and tied the match, in a bad move by goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.

The visitors continued on the attack after the draw and almost turned the game around with Mbappé. However, the score remained at 1 to 1 and both teams ended the duel with one point.

With the result, PSG remains in the lead, with an 11-point advantage over the vice-leader, Nice. Meanwhile, Lyon occupies the ninth position with 25 points.

Paris Saint-Germain returns to the field next Saturday, at 17:00 (Brasília time), to face Stade Brestois, at home. Lyon, in turn, plays next Sunday, away from home, against Troyes, at 13:05 (Brasília time). Both matches are valid for the French Championship.
