Fiorentina loses to Venezia by the minimum score and stays in the middle of the Serie A table

This Monday, the Fiorentina lost to Venezia, away from home, 1-0, in the 8th round of the Italian Championship. The match, played at the Pierluigi Penzo Stadium, featured a goal by Mattia Aramu.

With the result, the team from Florence is in 9th place in Serie A and adds 12 points. The Venetian club, which has eight, is 15th in the table.

Fiorentina returns to the field next Sunday, at 10:00 am (GMT), when it receives Cagliari. Venezia, in turn, will face Sassuolo away from home, on Saturday, at 13:00.

The game – Venezia, under the command of Paolo Zanetti, opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the first half, with Aramu. He received a pass from Thomas Henry and, facing the goal, just pushed into the back of the net.

The complementary stage, as well as the initial one, also had few finishes. The team coached by Vincenzo Italiano built some opportunities, but failed to balance the net and was defeated by the minimum score.
