Chelsea make their FA Cup debut against Chesterfield

For the third round of the FA Cup, the Chelsea welcomes Chesterfield, this Saturday (08), at 14:30. The match is scheduled to take place at Stamford Bridge Stadium.

Londoners will enter the field with some absences due to the positive cases of covid-19 in the squad. This is the case of defender Thiago Silva and midfielder N’Golo Kanté, who continue to recover from the disease. On the other hand, Thomas Tuchel assured that Cesar Azpilicueta and Kai Havertz are fit for the duel.

During the week, in the match against Tottenham for the English League Cup, the players needed to be substituted due to cramp and suspected finger injury, respectively.

“From the game the other night, Azpilicueta only had a little cramp, so he was not injured and is fine. Kai’s finger is for playing football, so our doctors and physiotherapists will take care of him,” said the coach.
