Instagram users condemned the congratulations of the e-sports team Team Spirit on their victory in the Dota 2 World Cup, which was published by the Russian national football team.
A post was published in the account of the national team, where the team members were dressed in the uniform of the Russian football team using computer graphics. The publications left more than 700 comments, many of which criticized the content of the post.
Users drew attention to the fact that two Team Spirit members have a Ukrainian passport, and therefore the picture can cause an international scandal. Some also noticed the fact that the technical sponsor of the cybersport team is a competing manufacturer of uniforms for the Russian national team.
Some subscribers criticized the very existence of the post. In their opinion, the event is not worthy of mentioning in the official account of the Russian national football team.
Team Spirit won the world championship on Sunday 17 October. This is the first victory of a Russian team in a Dota 2 tournament of this level.
