Felipe Caicedo, back in action after two months of injury

The Ecuadorian added minutes with Genoa this Thursday in the visit to Sassuolo, in Italy.

Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo, who was away from the courts for two months due to an injury, returned to action this Thursday. With Genoa, Felipao was part of the draw (1-1) in the field of Sassuolo, on the twentieth day of Serie A in Italy.

The tricolor attacker entered the Mapei field, the Sassuolo stadium, in the 84th minute. He did so in replacement of Ghanaian Caleb Ekuban, when the match already showed parity to one goal. The annotations were by Mattia Destro (6 minutes) for the visit and Domenico Berardi (55) for the homeowner cast.

Caicedo barely registered ten minutes on the court, considering the discounts.

The Ecuadorian did not appear since November 5, 2021, in the tie at 2 in the Empoli field.

Before Genoa met Roma on November 21, the Grifo club reported that Caicedo (33) had suffered an injury, a “low-grade distracting trauma to the right semitendinosus muscle.”

The Guayaquil forward joined Genoa in August. Due to a physical handicap, he only made his debut on October 17, precisely against Sassuolo (2-2).
