Milan defeats Roma and approaches Inter Milan, leader of the Italian

Milan hosted Roma this Thursday, for the 20th round of the Italian Championship, and won. By scoring 3-1, the team approached Inter Milan, leader of the tournament, and now has 45 points.

In the next round, both teams take the field this Sunday. At 8:30 am (Brasilia time), Milan visit Venezia. Later, at 2:30 pm, Roma face Juventus at home.

The game – As early as five minutes into the first half, the referee was instructed to see the VAR in a possible penalty kick. After reviewing the touch on Tammy Abraham’s hand inside the area, the referee pointed and scored the free kick. Giroud hit the goalkeeper’s left corner and opened the scoring for Milan.

At 16, in an attempt to return the ball to the goalkeeper, Roma’s defense messed up and gave a gift to the opponent. Giroud took the spare and tried to hit the goal, but hit the crossbar. Junior Messias, on the rebound, did not waste and extended the advantage.

Before going down to the locker rooms, Roma managed to cash. Jordan Veretout took a corner kick and the ball fell to Lorenzo Pellegrini. He tried to kick towards the goal and counted on Tammy Abraham’s deflection to swing the net.

In the second stage, Milan dominated the game. At the start, midfielder Brahim Diaz filled his foot and took a risk from outside the area, but saw the ball hit the crossbar and not enter. In another beautiful chance, it was Alessandro Florenzi’s turn to hit the free-kick and be stopped by the same obstacle.

At 37, Rafael Leão Gol received a pass from Ibrahimovic and went right in front of the goal to overcome the goalkeeper and declare it 3-1. Ibra even had the chance to expand in extra time, but wasted the penalty kick.
